What Quinoa is?
Quinoa, a species of goosefoot (Chenopodium), is a grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds. Its leaves are also eaten as a leaf vegetable.
According to Nutrition report of 100g cooked quinoa contains Carbohydrates, Proteins ( Vitamin E & vitamin B mainly & Minerals like manganese, Iron, calcium, potassium & lot more), High Calories, Gluten Free , 0 % saturated fat, 0% cholesterol, 0% sugar & water constituents.
Quinoa has caught the attention of the health-conscious, especially vegans and vegetarians. The United Nations celebrated 2013 as the 'Year of Quinoa' to highlight the values of the niche crop, especially its ability to grow on dry soil also.
